NCBI 4-Pack of Mini-courses:
Ball State University will be the site of a 3rd Regional NCBI 4-Pack Workshop: Practical Web-based Analyses Mini-courses. The BSU Genetics Club will host the event along with support from the BSU Graduate School, the Department of Biology. Instructors for ALL course sessions are from the NIH/NCBI Main campus at Bethesda, MD.

A:  Nov 15  9 -11:45 am Bioinformatics Quick Start
B:  Nov 15  1:30 - 4:15 pm Correlating Disease Genes to Phenotypes

C:  Nov 16  9 -11:45 am  Microbial Genomes Quick Start
D:  Nov 16 1:30 - 4:15 pm  Making Sense of DNA and Protein Sequences

Course Format:
90-minute common lecture followed by a 60-minute hands-on computer-based training session.

Computers:
Participants are asked to provide their own wireless-capable laptop computers, if possible. A computer lab facility with limited seating will be available for participants without laptops, with priority given to student participants.

All the computers will need Cn3D installed

Please download and complete the appropriate Registration Form using either Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word and return via email or U.S. Postal services by November 9th.

Driver’s License information is not needed for BSU participants, but IS REQUIRED for all non-BSU participants in order to issue a temporary user name and password for the duration of the workshop.
